Summer fun at Traci's...

Hey there! It is definitely summer. It is 107 outside, and pool season is here. We are lucky enough to have an aunt/ sister with her own pool. She even got an awesome volleyball net for this summer. She just celebrated a birthday, and invited us to join her. Check out her cute new outfit.
We have been over quite a bit since the end of school. Athena is a master at kicking and is learning some swimming basics from Uncle Ty. Avi is content to hang out in his floatie shaped like a fish. He loves to jump in off the steps and splash us all.It is just getting warm enough for Fred to get in. He and I are loving the exercise we get from the volleyball.
Things are pretty busy around here. We are getting ready to landscape the backyard and go to Mexico. I will put in a picture of before and afters here, so you can get an idea of how much work will be done. We are going to be getting some grass. We are also planning a trampoline. Please no comments on the safety factor. I have decided it is actually safer for my children to be on a trampoline than to deal with their mother after writing on the wall with a ball point pen!!!!!!! so, needless to say I am looking forward to some more outdoor fun this summer.

I'm going to try blogging, here goes...

Hey everyone, I was so impressed with my little sister's (she is screaming because I still call her that!) blog. I have decided to try it myself. There will surely be a learning curve, so bear with me. I will start off with some basics. There are 5 of us in the family. Fred and I (Tara) have been married for 7 years, no itch, by the way. We are a blended family, with our oldest living in Ghana with his mother. Emmanuel is on his way as soon we can cut through all of the red tape. We are looking forward to having him here. We can't wait to get to know him better. Athena is next. She is 5 going on 18. She is all attitude and fun. Aviel is 2. He is too full of energy, too mischievous, and just tooo much. He is hilarious, and always keeps us on our toes. I am working full time as well as starting back to school this fall. So, I will do my best to keep up with this. I am looking forward to sharing memories and pictures with everyone out there. I am also hoping that all of our family in Africa can enjoy this blog as well.
